2008 is off to a pretty good start so far scrapping wise! I’ve already done 6 layouts in the first 5 days of the year!! In all of 2007 I did just over 130 actual layouts plus all the other altered, hybrid and printable type projects I did so for 2008 my goal is to try to hit at least 200-250 layouts. I didn’t do much scrapping the first 4 months of 2007 when I was pregnant with Kyle so I think it’s an attainable goal! We’ll see how it goes though! So here’s the layouts I’ve done so far -
{Cali}

{Handsome Little Boy}

{Cousins}

{brrr…}

{Candy Cane Cutie}

{Snow Princess}

And then I decided to participate in the Photo a Day Challenge at the DigiChick, we’re supposed to take a photo each day and then we’re posting them in a weekly thread for constructive criticism. Andrea Burns is the one hosting the challenge and she is providing with some different prompts each week and giving us tips and pointers and such. I missed taking a photo on the first day but have done days 2 through 4 and then I still need to get my photo taken for today! Our “homework” for this week is a texture and a child’s toy, and I have the toy done so far.

Kyle’s teddy bear he got for Christmas

So that’s what I’ve got so far, still need to figure out what I’m going to do for texture. Maybe if it’s nice out again tomorrow I can go look for something out in the yard.
So Kyle turned 8 months on the 3rd, I still don’t feel like it’s been 8 months since he’s joined the family. Or that it’s been 8 months since I became a SAHM finally! If you asked Rob though he’d probably say it’s been 8 months since we became poor lol! Of course we’re nowhere near poor, he just compares things now to how it was when we had two full time incomes (less daycare expenses which was quite a bit for the girls). Yeah things might get a little tight now but I wouldn’t trade getting to stay home with my kids for all the money in the world! So when he jokes about me finding a job I tell him I already have one right here! But anyway Kyle is growing so fast, I’m not sure how much he weighs now but at 6 months he weighed 20 pounds and he is definitely way heavier now! I’m guessing he’s gained 2-3 more pounds since then. I guess we’ll see at his 9 month well child check in February! Poor little guy is working on his first tooth, his little gums on the bottom keep feeling more and more swollen each day. He’s been a bit cranky and has trouble napping during the day so we’ve been using the Hyland’s teething tablets and they seem like they’re helping. Hopefully that darn tooth will pop through here really quick and end his (and our) misery! He’s also become very mobile, he’s moving ALL over the living room and he is so fast too!! He’s still doing the army crawl for the most part but is doing some regular crawling too. He also thinks it fun to stand up in front of the couch and I’ve also caught him trying to pull himself up on his toy basket! And so it begins lol!
Well I think I’m going to put in a movie, make me some hot cocoa in my new mug and see if I can get some more scrapping done! And probably think about what I want to get when we go to dinner at Olive Garden tomorrow! My BIL and SIL gave us a gift card there and my Mom is going to watch the kids for a bit so we can go out for a nice dinner just the two of us! Olive Garden has always been one of our favorite restaurants – it’s where Rob asked me to marry him, it’s where we had his college graduation party and where we announced to our families that we were expecting Kaylie and we have celebrated many anniversaries there! It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten to have a date night so this will be fun!
And hopefully Rob and his friend from work will finally get our van fixed tomorrow afternoon! It hasn’t been running since sometime in early December and it is so hard getting 2 booster seats and a infant seat into the backseat of our car! And even more of a pain when I have my niece during the week! They think they’ve narrowed it down to the fuel pump (ugh!) and are going to replace that and hopefully that solves the problem! So I’m going to be crossing my fingers & hoping!

Wonderful lo’s. I can’t believe Kyle is already 8 mos. old. Have fun at the Olive Garden. It is my fav place too. I would do just about anything for some chicken fettucine alfredo right now.LOL.
